The size of this pair is 'SMALL,' which is between 3/4" - 1 1/4" long excluding the earwires. The color, showing as 'SURPRISE ME' means your selection will come from a batch in desertcart's warehouse and you could receive any color. The 'setting' is ELECTROPLATED WITH SILVER, following the natural edge of the stone. Since it does have silver in it, it is possible it may tarnish. Just apply a little silver polish to restore. (The a of gold is in extremely tiny quantities, with other metals, to just give the color of silver.) EACH PAIR IS TOTALLY UNIQUE. These are matched pairs, sliced from the same stone, but each side is a unique slice and not an exact match of its mate. No two pieces are exactly alike. A slice was taken from the geode, electroplated with gold or silver, following the natural edge of the stone, and polished on both sides. (It is 24k gold or silver plated, but in extremely tiny quantities, with other metals, just enough to give the color.) Some have tiny druze (a very thin crystal covering), others with more visible crystal structures, and surrounded by agate. Sizes vary, on average, between about 1" to 2" long excluding the earwire, and about 5 mm thick. A SPECIAL NOTE: The plated pairs are matched, sliced from the same stone, but each side is a unique slice and not an exact match to its mate.
