No, you should fill it yourself with hot water.

How do you remove the cover? It seems impossible.

Take the top off and fold it and then pull the cover off( sorry for the sound I was watching house)

Hi family Evans, There goes no flap over the plug. The plug won't feel hot and you can keep the cover on the bottle. With this design, you can fill the hot water bottle with a cover over the bottle.
