DERMagic Skin Rescue Shampoo Bar, Lemongrass & Spearmint, 99

I am very allergic to sulfates so I can't even wash my dogs with the average pet shampoo. Found this soap through another site. Cleared up one dog's 'dandruff' and keeps the others' coats shiny and clean smelling (at least two weeks in the summertime - and we go running in the country twice a week). Another benefit - my dogs don't get fleas or ticks. (Yes, I use flea and tick treatment, but once you wash the dogs, the treatment becomes much less effective - and, with running in the country, they can pick up a lot). When my daughter brought home a different shampoo, I tried it. Within a week I noticed a tick on my bedspread!!! We went back to using this soap! Then, my five-year-old Heeler mix got allergic foliculitis on his head (between the ears) after being groomed at a kennel we left the dogs at for two nights. Should've known better, but I thought it would be okay just once. I used this soap every day for three days and the foliculitis went away. Nothing else. Just this soap. In order to make it last longer because it can get pretty soft after bathing three dogs in a row, I rinse the bar off and keep it out on a soap tray by my bath. Lasts quite awhile and I think it's so much better than the average shampoo. Plus, you're not putting awful chemicals on your dog's skin!

Very expensive not sure its even helping, my dog still scratches, but really no alternatives

The Dermagic products really did help my 3 year old Pomeranian grow his fur back! At first I just thought he was shedding fur for the summer but became alarmed when he developed completely bald spots on his tummy & back legs and then on both sides of his neck. He was diagnosed with Alopecia X. I used the shampoo bar, conditioner & lotion and within 2 months he started regrowing wispy fur. It’s now the 3rd month and his fur is becoming a little thicker, though it is growing slower in the areas that became bald first. I am so thankful I found these products because Alopecia X is extremely serious and vets don’t seem to be aware of them.

Very good for the skin and healing soap

My vet recommended this for my dogs hot spots and it definitely helped. The soap bar itself smells good but when I used it on my hound dog mix, it made her smell worse, after she dried she smelt much better and she wasnt itching as much. It was also a little difficult to get a lather. If this were just a normal soap I wouldn't reccomend it but it benefited her skin condition. If your dog suffers from hotspots I would give it a try! The initial smell of wet dog outweighs the benefits it had! Teddy has had hot spots for about 8 years now and I've tried soap after soap and this one finally did the job. No hotspots that take the fur away this year and no come of shame! The first year in like 5 years!
