Nice quality headset
This headset installed easily for me and works great. It comes with 2 sizes for the crown race seat. 26.4, the more common size, and 27.0, the Japanese standard size. You just use the one appropriate size race for your fork.

Origin 8 Threadless Headset
The product is well made,great price point. The alloy cups are robust and the cartridge bearings are smooth. I like the plastic seal on the top of the stem cap. This positively keeps any rain from seeping into the bearings. One caveat: I am using an aftermarket carbon fork (w/aluminum steerer tube) that is unusable due to interference between the machined area where the crown race is positioned and the inside diameter of the lower cup. The headset works fine with the stock steel fork. If the inside diameter of the lower cup were machined with a 1 mm larger inside diameter, it would work fine.

Installed and adjusted easily. Plus it has a nice look to it. The two crown races means you get the one you need.

Good headset with 1 little problem
I put this on my 1994 Rockhopper Comp FS because the original fell apart after I took it apart to fix the front shock. It was very easy to install and is holding up real nice for the kind of riding I do which is cross coutry, no jumping. I would have given it 5 stars except I had to install a spacer because I could not get the top to seat when I tightened down the allen screw. Luckily I had a spacer available to use. After installing the spacer, it tightened down good and have had no problem since.

Converted to threadless on my beach cruiser
Fit perfectly to convert my one inch threaded headset on my 3G isla vista to threadless. Just get 1” fork with a longer steer tube (can still be threaded) get one inch head spacers and put on a one inch theaess stem and booom! The bearings in this kit are top notch and will last a lot longer around the salt air than the stock bearings. Very happy- and looks sick

I bought this headset for a threadless conversion on a older Trek road bike. It was easy to install and uses sealed bearings that are silky smooth. The headset performs good,looks good and should last for many years.
