Little Wigwam Flags And Capitals Placemat, Multicolour

Bought this to replace a Crocodile Creek placemat which had begun to lose some of it's colour from cleaning. This placemat is much thicker and durable. Purchased 8 months ago in preparation for the Olympics. Mealtimes soon became 'what's the capital of....?'. It hasn't sufferred any loss of colour through cleaning, and doesn't curl up when warm plates are on it. Would definitely buy another of these, if it ever wears out!

Great for educational purpose while children waiting for food to be served.

We have a number of these mats, they are all interesting and good quality, but this is a favourite with everyone in my family, as we can test each other on countries, flags, colours and capitals - ok we may sound geeky, but since our younger child is a very slow eater, this certainly helps to keep everyone at the table occupied while we wait for him to eat up!

Think these Wigwam placemats are great. They do warp slightly when hot plates/mugs are put on them, but they seem to go back to normal when they cool down. Ours have been used by messy eaters daily (and wiped daily) for over three months and some of the colouring is now slightly scratched and worn. The country names and capitals all seem accurate and I haven't spotted typos. The detail on the flags is excellent. Includes lots of UK-related flags as well as the Union Jack: England, Scotland, Wales, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar. No Northern Ireland though. (No Vatican City either.) A really good way to learn/teach and to keep the table clean...

We have purchased a couple of these and are always very pleased. Easy to keep clean. Thick and durable and the picture doesn't wear off quickly.

My 8 year old son uses this as his table placemat. It's nice because he always has something interesting to look at while he's eating (the tv is off). He frequently quizzes the family on the capitals of each country. This is fun and effortless learning. Although now I need to study the capitals because there are several that I didn't know. The capital of Mauritania is Nouakchott, by the way. There are 216 countries listed in alphabetical order. Food spills are easily wiped away with a damp cloth. The kids also use the Philip's World Map, the Little Wigwam Multiplication Mat, and the Little Wigwam Solar System Mat. All brilliant for a bit of covert learning at the table.

Bought a few of these placemats from Little Wigwam over the last few years for my children and they’re great. Lovely quality and colours. Would be good if you could extend the range, as they’re great for kids.

Our 5 year-old grandson loves and studies this placemat. We purchased it for him when he began showing an interest in countries, capitals and world geography. He is becoming very proficient in the subject and will often quiz us on capitals. He did notice, however, that Vatican City is not included on the placemat, while reminding me that it is the smallest country in the world. Super high quality and easy to wipe clean.
