I purchased this item to replace the digitizer screen on my 2016 Mazda MX-5. The screen had developed spider cracks over time, I believe mainly due to parking the car in the sun on a few occasions (most of the time the car is garaged). I was able to confirm through miata.net that you only need to replace the digitizer, since the spider cracks happen as a result of delamination between the plastic outer layer and glass inner layer of the digitizer screen. The digitizer provides touch screen capability. The underlying LCD screen generates the image (and had no defects). Replacing the digitizer is possible, but it takes some time and care. I found several videos how to do this for Mazda 3 cars that have the same entertainment screen as the MX-5. I completed the job (taking my time) in about 2.5 hours and the result is very good. This Ymiko digitizer seems more glossy than the OEM digitizer, which results in a brighter and more colorful screen, but also more prone to reflections. Seems to work perfectly. Restored touch functionality. Notes: watch the YouTube video that mentions ghost touching. His method is easier than the other top video since you just remove four screws instead of removing the whole radio. Also, remove as much of the old glue/tape as you can. If you're lazy like me, the glass will stick out and fall out and you'll have to do the install again. Also, despite warnings, I lost my 10 mm bolt inside the car, never to be seen again. Be VERY careful with it. You'll need an extension wrench to do it. I recommend a magnetic one.

At first I was concerned on whether this would work or not on my 2016 mazda3. After I watched a video and installed this myself I didn’t think the touch screen would work nor did I care I just wanted a fresh new screen that didn’t have inner cracks. After installing it I tested touch screen just for fun and it worked!!!! I was very happy with this product for its price and its quality. Overall would get this again.

I bought this for my Mazda 3 sedan original radio. I watched Youtube to learn how to replace. Make sure you lay out all your parts nicely when you take off so it would be easy for you put together. I used Googone and razor to get the old glue off after take out the old screen. Make sure there is no dirt or finger prints on the new screen and radio before put on the new screen. Take out the radio is easy (watch Youtube video).

The screen is very clear, looks different from the OE on my 2015 Mazda 3. It was easy to install once I got the old one out. Better than OE in my opinion.
