We had this toilet in our guest bathroom, and in renovating another house, decided to buy the same unit again as I have NEVER had to plunge this toilet, and it is a really beautiful design. A few things to consider, however. Since the base is so large, you are going to be more prone to experiencing an unlevel toilet, as the wide base exposes more floor area. If you have a tiled floor, you may have to shim in a few places to get it not to rock if your tile isn't spot on perfect. And regards to the seller of this toilet. It is SUPPOSED to come with a seat. Ours did not, and did not find out until install day. I purchased the replacement at Lowes (a whopping $42). Amazon, being an awesome company, credited me back the money I spend on the toilet seat. The unit that arrived did NOT come with a wax seal kit. The previous memoirs toilet we purchase did. I don't know if Kohler stopped providing them, or this was accidental.

Can't believe how much well water and lowered leach field demands this toilet is saving us. It has a two position dump. Trip the handle and a short flush rapidly cleans and I mean cleans the bowl. Hold the handle down for 2 seconds to empty the tank for heavier flushes. We wanted the 1.6 gal over the 1.2 gal version because we have a long run for the drain pipe and wanted a bit extra water to be sure everything runs all the way to the septic tack. My wife wanted the flat top so she could put decorator items on it. Very attractive for a in-door outhouse.

Beautiful and functions well too! This is the comfort height, which is great for my husband, but not ideal for me. I really wish they made this exact design in standard height.

This toilet was standard excellent Kohler quality and was installed easily by our plumbers. Even greater thanks goes to Amazon. When we notified them that the tank cover arrived cracked in half (the rest of the toilet was fine), they immediately gave us a generous concession on the price that was way more than enough to buy a new cover. Thanks, Amazon!

Very disappointed with this toilet. We ordered it from Amazon and had it professionally installed just over a year ago. Recently it started "running". Had a plumber out to look at it and we were told that the flapper is warped. You'd expect a flapper to last longer than a year considering it's such an expensive toilet. Definitely would not recommend this toilet.

I love this toilet! I bought it to match my sinks and loved the stately/modern look, but it's a great toilet. It somehow stays clean in the bowl until I'm able to clean the bathroom every other week. Am trying to purchase another one for a different bathroom!

I saw actually saw this toilet in a hotel room and thought to myself, "what a nice toilet". I looked in the tank to see the serial number and found the make and model online. Low and behold our 20 year old toilet was on the fritz again a few months later so instead of replacing the internal parts again we thought that this would be a good time to upgrade. I placed the order and received the toilet in two days. The install was pretty basic stuff and the toilet looks beautiful. Everyone in the house commented on how fast and quiet it is compared to the old toilet that it took the place of. We were so pleased with the look of the Memoir toilet that we bought the matching pedestal sink as well.

We've had this toilet for over 5 years now and it has not disappointed. I bought it for the height of the seat and the quality reputation of Kohler. It seems to use less water, but has successfully flushed every time we've used it. Recommended!

It's a good toilette but for the price it should come with a toilette seat if it did I'd give it a 5 star.
