[Best Outdoor&Shower Bluetooth Speakers Ever] Omaker M4 Portable Bluetooth 4.0 Speakers with 12 Hour Playtime for Outdoors/Shower

I enjoy listening to music whilst in the shower. I previously had an x-mini which I had to have quite some distance away from me to ensure it didn't get wet. The x-mini was reasonably cheap and gave good quality sound, so I wanted something that could match in terms of sound quality and I could have a bit closer to me. This speaker has turned out to be as good as I could possibly have wanted. Despite not having any experience using bluetooth before, I found it very easy to pair with both my phone and my laptop. Once these are paired once they'll automatically pair again, so very easy to use. The speaker itself is a lot lighter than it looks like it should be, which is very much appreciated and wouldn't weigh too much to have in your bag while out and about. The speaker comes with a strap you can attach if desired, which makes it ideal to hang over your shower head. I've not tried deliberately getting it wet, but it performs absolutely fine in very humid conditions with the odd bit of splashing and use by wet hands. I opted for this speaker because I wanted something that sounded good. I'm not an audiophile and I don't really know much about music, but I just wanted something that sounded fairly decent at a good price. I'd rate the sound quality at marginally lower than my x-mini (just a tiny bit less deep on the bass I think), but the sound quality is still really good and I'm more than happy with it. The only thing I can think to criticise on this is the lack of separate buttons for the volume (you long press for volume changes and short press for track changes), and you do have to press a little hard for the buttons to work. However, I'm nitpicking here. Overall I'd rate this speaker 4.5 stars, but that isn't an option. Therefore I'm rounding up to 5 stars as I don't feel the downsides to this speaker are bad enough to warrant the loss of a whole star.

1st impression of his device was 'cute'! It is small, compact and lightweight, yet feels very well made and robust. I should point out here that the unit was delivered within 3 days of purchase which is good seeing as I ordered at the beginning of a bank holiday weekend! Setup was incredibly simple. I'm not aware of my phone supporting NFC and besides, I had connected within about 10 seconds of turning the unit on, turning my Bluetooth on and clicking on the device. First app I tried on it was spotify. You can use the volume up and down buttons to do just that on a long press. Short presses will take you to the last track or next track of whatever playlist you have going. The unit responded in the same way to iTunes. The sound is overall very good. The bass response is actually very good for the size of the unit. I haven't used any of the eq presets spotify has to offer as they are not needed. The balance of bass, mids and highs from the speaker are fine as they are and the sound is very crisp and rounded. If you walked into a room with it playing you would expect to see a larger unit sitting there playing the tunes. I tried using the unit with the supplied 3.5mm-3.5mm jack lead to see how it worked with that. I have to say that wasn't quite as impressive. There was a whistling sound and crackling as I moved the cable about although it was unnoticeable once music was playing. The audio volume was also much less even with everything cranked up to full. To be fair I shouldn't think many people will use this link method unless they aren't ready to part with their old iPod classic or shuffle! I wouldn't let it put you off buying the product at all. I'm not sure whether these noises were a fault with the speaker or the cable itself but I noticed other reviewers had made similar observations. Other reviewers had complained of the brightness of the led on the front. Now either they are incredibly picky, or the company have taken reviews on board and reduced its brightness - but I don't find it too bright at all. To me it is very subtle and let's you know the unit is on, ready to connect, connected or charging. There is a rubber cover that clips over the input sockets which I fear I will end up breaking off and losing over time as it is only attached by a small rubber clip. Other than that I can't see any reason why this shouldn't last for ages. Overall I would highly recommend this product. I did a lot of hunting about for a shock proof unit which can go with me on my travels, sounded decent and had a price that wouldn't make me scared to take it out with me. Also the fact it is waterproof will make it ideal to have next to the pool in Cyprus next week! It's a no brainer for £23. Buy it!

Like music when having a shower. It works.It is splashproof and sound qualit is decent. Well recommended..... Well, at least that's what I said when I got it. I used it for a couple of months and it worked perfect. Then I forgot it for a while and now it doesn't work anymore. Sound is low and mufled. I have tried to open it up to see if there was anything obvious but the screws are made from soft metal so it wasn't possible. So you have it.

Fantastic little speaker and much better sound quality than I was expecting for the money. Its small and light weight with great battery life. I've read in other reviews that say, this little speaker packs a punch and it really does. I'm impressed by the range of sounds and the depth of the bass it actually delivers. I recently took the omaker on holiday with me and it easily filled my hotel room and the pool side with sound, The speaker received numerous splashes from the pool and never missed a beat. Easily connects via Bluetooth and works with my iphone /ipad and blackberry. The range is about right but it doesn't seem to like to many obstacles like walls. The battery life seems pretty decent as i have used it every day for over a week on holiday and its still going strong on the first charge.
